Our Story

Global Access to Talent from India (GATI) Foundation was incubated in 2025 by The Convergence Foundation, Godrej Foundation and Manish Sabharwal to unlock India's greatest untapped opportunity: connecting its talent with the world. As ageing economies face growing workforce shortages across healthcare, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, logistics and skilled trades, India has the demographic advantage and talent to help meet this demand. Yet turning that advantage into opportunity requires more than training—it requires the right credentials, language capabilities, financing, employers, recruitment pathways and migration support.

GATI was created to build this missing ecosystem. Bringing together government, industry, skilling institutions and nonprofits, GATI works to make international employment more structured, ethical and accessible by building the systems and pathways that connect Indian talent to global demand. Its ambition is to position India as the Global Skills Mobility Capital of the world, enabling millions of Indians to access dignified work and opportunity across borders.
